JCCI is a 501 (c) (3) organization with 35 years of expertise in citizen engagement, facilitation, consensus building, independent research, and public policy advocacy and more than two decades of experience with community indicators to assess our quality of life.  JCCI has been providing consulting and replication assistance to communities around the world for the past 15 years.

In 2009, JCCI introduced Community Works, a focused approach to serving communities that need assistance in developing a neutral convener role, engaging people in meaningful change efforts, and/or measuring progress towards a shared community vision. 

Community Works is supported by experts in building better communities.

Ben Warner, President
Mr. Warner was inaugural president of the Community Indicators Consortium and is past president of the National Association of Planning Councils. He also serves as a consultant and conference presenter, assisting multiple communities in the creation of community-based public policy organizations and the development of community indicator projects.

 

 

Laura Lane, Director
Dr. Lane has extensive experience in community facilitation and research projects. She has a long-standing history of training people in model facilitation and understanding group dynamics. She is an accomplished public speaker and acknowledged expert in community planning.

 

 

Stephen Rankin, Director:
Implementations & Special Projects
Mr. Rankin has an extensive track record in organizational leadership, communications and strategic planning.  Mr. Rankin developed a strong citizen advocacy program, and has coordinated and coached the efforts of hundreds of volunteer citizens in their efforts to bring about improvements to the community.
